Meditation on Jeff Tidball
This is part of a series of posts about people from whom I am learning:
A great deal of my metrics for menschiness are kept calibrated by comparing my instruments to those of my business partner, Jeff Tidball, who manages to balance devotion and seriousness with surprising wit and terrific fun. He is timely and measured and even-tempered in ways that I aspire to emulate. To anyone who imagines that creativity must come with flakiness or irresponsibility, I say to thee “Jeff Tidball.”

You are now blogging too much. I cannot keep up. The day is just cracked, and already — three posts! Three! Slow down! Pace thineself! Take a breath! Wordpress’ scheduling function is a dear.
And all hall the Tidball.

I am using the scheduling function, in fact. I wrote that Terminator piece days and days ago. Most days won’t be like this.
Then you, sir, are a machine. A dangerous machine. Perhaps sent from the deep future to show us the bloglightenment.
As expressed in a private e-mail to Will, I am blown away by this. It is essentially impossible for me to imagine a better thing to find on the Internet.
