I’m just a short distance into my first all-nighter in quite some time. I’ll try and pop back in again to record my state of mind in three hours or so. The really terrifying thing is that I’ll have to do this all over again next week, too. May has resulted in such a ridiculously huge new load of work that I feel like I’m working while pinned beneath a concrete slab. The up-side to this is that, come June, a good deal of my work will be new, exciting, and a bit more prestigious than what I’m doing now. In fact, come to think of it, there’s all sorts of stuff going on this summer, what with conventions, news brewing at Atlas, a new job with Fantasy Flight, more books in the pipeline, and a friend’s wedding. Just this week, Sara and I renewed our lease on the apartment, too, which will make this the first place I’ve lived in for two consecutive years (aside from the house I grew up in, of course). That’s exciting.
I promise I’ll review A Mighty Wind, because my friend Jim asked. I’m looking forward to it, too. I just need time to do it.
Anyway, back to work.
Noise: Joan Jett & Paul Westerberg, Let’s Do It (from the Tank Girl soundtrack, hint hint).
